Rivenbark & Roper Antiques is Huntsville’s finest antique gallery that offers furnishings from the 18th, 19th and early 20th Century, art from around the world, and the largest collection of silver in North Alabama.
In addition to Rivenbark & Roper Antiques, Ken is a 20 year veteran educator who serves as a national education consultant with an emphasis on training educators in the teaching of writing, and was listed in Who’s Who Among America’s Top Teachers in 1998, 2005, and 2007.
In 2006, Ken authored Poetry and Prose Prompts: A Quick Guide to Teaching Writing Style. Wiley- Jossey-Bass Publishing, San Francisco, CA (currently sold in seven countries) and has authored five additional publications.
He is a graduate of Leadership Huntsville/Madison County, Class 22; Huntsville Committee of 100, and Rotary International. Supporting the community is a major focus of Ken’s energies as he serves as an Ambassador for Hudson Alpha Institute for Biotechnology, Member of the Board of Directors for Village of Promise, Member of the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Alabama Governor’s Mansion, and Member of the Board of Trustees for the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra. Ken has served on the Huntsville/Madison County Library Foundation Board of Directors, the Advisory Board of the Greater Huntsville Humane Society, the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra Board of Trustees (Budget & Finance Committees) and the Huntsville Museum of Art Foundation Board of Directors. He is the Director of the Rivenbark & Roper Educational Partnership and a member of the Church of Nativity in Huntsville, Alabama.
