Ken Rivenbark

Dr. Ken Rivenbark is owner of Rivenbark & Roper Antiques in Huntsville, Alabama.

Rivenbark & Roper Antiques is Huntsville’s finest private antique gallery that offers furnishings from the 18th, 19th and early 20th Century, art from around the world, and the largest collection of silver in North Alabama. Visit the website.

From 2014 – 2017, Ken created and hosted the cable television show Southern Heirlooms with Ken Rivenbark, which aired in the Greater Huntsville, Alabama; Memphis, Tennessee; Panama City, Florida; and Houston, Texas. Visit the website.

In addition to Rivenbark & Roper Antiques, Ken is a 20-year veteran educator who has served as a national education consultant with an emphasis on training educators in the teaching of writing and was listed in Who’s Who Among America’s Top Teachers in 1998, 2005, and 2007.

In 2006, Ken authored Poetry and Prose Prompts: A Quick Guide to Teaching Writing Style. Wiley- Jossey-Bass Publishing, San Francisco, CA and has authored five additional publications.

Ken is a graduate of Leadership Huntsville/Madison County, Class 22. Supporting the community is a major focus of Ken’s energies as he serves as an Ambassador for Hudson Alpha Institute for Biotechnology, a member of Downtown Huntsville, Incorporated and serves on the National Small Business Association (NSBA) Board of Directors and the Leadership Council.

Ken has served on the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Governor’s Mansion in Montgomery, the Huntsville/Madison County Library Foundation Board of Directors, the Advisory Board of the Greater Huntsville Humane Society, the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra Board of Trustees (Budget & Finance Committees) and the Huntsville Museum of Art Foundation Board of Directors. He is a member of the Church of Nativity in Huntsville, Alabama.
